After only four decades of being
produced in Mexico, Stoneware has opened new horizons to pottery
expression and awakened true interest among collectors given
the novelty of its design. Because of its hardness, and heat
and acid resistance, Stoneware is ideal for cooking and preserving
food. Mexican Stoneware are also nice objects 'd arte. The main
Stoneware workshops are found in Mexico City and in the States
of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Morelos and Mexico. Many Stoneware artisans
use an Oriental style display mixed with traditional Mexican
decorative style thus creating truly unique art pieces. |
