Elegance is the Description for Mexican Rebozos
|
|
The Rebozo is a beautiful garment
worn in all parts of Mexico. It's origen is from the Colonial
period when Indian women combined their traditional long cotton
cloth shawls with the cloaks worn by Spanish women thus creating
the Rebozo. It truly is a Mexican born item and is popular throughout
the country. |
|
Artisans make Rebozos using either
their traditional waist weaving method or with the European pedal
loom and they use either cotton, wool, silk or rayon threads
depending on their cultural preference. We source Rebozos from
throughout Mexico and offer them in all the composition types
and design varieties. |

A Rebozo in Mexico has many social
functions: To cover one's self from the cold and the sun as a
shawl or a shroud, to carry objects and small babies as a sling,
to balance a pitcher of water on the head, and as a purse and
belt. You may not want to use your Rebozo these ways but you
will find it an attractive accent to the wardrobe and perfect
for those chilly nights out. Whether in jeans or fine attire
you will like these items. |

wide item, Rebozos come in every style imaginable. From Guanajuato,

embroidered; and in Santa Maria del Rio, for 300 years, they
are made of silk so fine that they can pass through a wedding
ring. Regardless of the Rebozo style, whether it be the exclusive
silk designs, the sleek rayon patterns or the cotton and wool
native embroidered weaves, E-mail us to order as we carry them in stock. |
