Ground Glass is a term refering
to etched glass. Blown glass looses its flat texture and acquires
a light, airy and formal dimension when textures and designs
are engraved upon it. Performed with an emory wheel, the artisan
carefully etches flower designs and classic decorative motifs
onto each piece. Each item is hand worked though the designs
within a set are remarkably the same. |
