Cut-Out Paper items come from
numerous parts of Mexico. It is one of the artisan traditions
acquired during Spanish Colonial days. Colored tissue paper is
cut out with scissors to make table cloths, place settings, napkins,
small flags and garlands. The pieces remind one of lace in their
delicate designs and are seen in homes throughout Mexico. |

at outdoor festivals and family events strung across streets
and patios and are used at birthday parties and Christmas as
tablecloths and place settings. They are used to grace altar
